Description

Adult education at Lester B. Pearson School Board helps adults complete high school, upgrade academic skills, or learn new languages. With flexible scheduling, personalized support, and an inclusive environment, students can achieve their academic goals at their own pace. Place Cartier Adult Education Centre

Students come to Place Cartier to earn diplomas, learn languages, gain prerequisites, or prepare for CEGEP and university. We provide the support, skills, and guidance needed for success. More than a school, Place Cartier is a vibrant, inclusive community where every student is valued and empowered to reach their goals.


Vocational Application Process

Review and complete our Application Package.

Submit the application package along with all required documents and application fee via our contact page.

 Application and required documents will be reviewed by the International Admissions team. Once approved, payment will be processed and Letter of Acceptance (LOA) will be issued.

Students will need to apply for their Québec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ), Study Permit and CO-OP Permit. (Note: you can apply for your co-op work permit at the same time as the Study Permit.)

Send a copy of your permits to the International Programs office as soon as you receive the response for each permit. It’s essential that you advise the International Programs office if you receive a refusal letter (even if you intend on reapplying).

Confirm your attendance by providing all of the following at least 60 days  prior to the start of the course:

Email ipdyouth@lbpsb.qc.ca to initiate the application process.  You will receive an application form from us to submit with your details.

After processing your application, we will send you an invoice for payment to issue the Letter of Acceptance (LOA).

After making the payment, you will receive the LOA, which you must use to apply for your Certificat d’Acceptation du Quebec and then the Study Permit

Once you receive the CAQ and study permit acceptance, send the documents to ipdyouth@lbpsb.qc.ca and book your flight ticket to Montreal.  Provide us with a copy of your flight details and we will give you a registration appointment with details of the required documents.

Complete the registration appointment, and pay the balance of your session invoice.


06

Meet with the guidance counselor at the adult education centre to get your schedule and start your journey in Adult Education!
