    Frequently asked questions

Classes in High school are taught in English, except in the French language arts subject. Students in the Enriched or Immersion programs may be taught an additional  subject in French (History).

In the vocational sector, all programs are taught in English. You can find the accepted English language proficiency test list with minimum requirements here.

Please note that some programs (specifically those that interact with patients or clients) require a B2 level of French. Although French classes can be taken at the same time as your program, some programs do require it as a prerequisite.

For youth applications, you must submit an application online through our portal here.

You will receive email notifications as your application is processed and will be able to see its progress through updates in the portal.

For vocational program applications, please download the application package here.

The list of required documents are included in the application forms.

Refunds are granted, with the exception of the $250 application fee, if proof of the refusal is provided.

We accept students who wish to study for 5 months or 10 months in the youth program.    Students can apply to study from September to the end of January or from February to June.  Bear in mind that the report card received at the end of the period of study will reflect the time studied and therefore will only be a partial report card, and not the full grade for the subjects studied.

There are no entrance exams for the youth program, however, students are expected to complete an English assessment and Pre-Orientation online prior to arrival in Montreal. If the level of English is below IELTS 6, students will be asked to enroll in mandatory ESL classes at an additional cost.
